For fundraising purposes, I’m excited about the Year of the Fire Horse because many people believe that Horse years favor investor confidence and economic growth. And a strong stock market often heralds of a strong year for philanthropy!

There are countless videos, podcasts and products that focus on self-care. But that’s not what I’m talking about. Nor am I suggesting that focusing on you means quietly quitting your job to create more leisure hours in your day.

2. Committing to being the very best at your chosen job. Whether through independent learning or professional development classes, build your skills in new areas. Seek out leaders in the field and emulate them. Or find a mentor you trust who can give you honest feedback and advice.
3. Getting out of your comfort zone. Remember, if you are not failing at anything, you are not trying anything new. Tap into the dynamic energy of the Year of the Fire Horse to innovate with AI or get in front of that major donor.
